Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) has recently appointed a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) aligned with DTC’s Mobility in Motion initiative (https://ridesharedelaware.org/mobility-in-motion/). The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at DART Administration Building, 900 Public Safety Blvd., Dover, DE, 19901. The Mobility in Motion TAC is charged with reviewing information gathered to update the Coordinated Public Transit—Human Services Transportation Plan, or “Coordinated Plan,” for the State of Delaware. Developed through a participatory planning process, the Coordinated Plan will serve as a strategic framework for addressing the state’s existing and future mobility needs. This Coordinated Plan will also align with the new federal framework focused on the need to enhance mobility for all transportation-disadvantaged populations (e.g., older adults, persons with disabilities, veterans, low-income individuals, non-drivers, and no-car households), by leveraging resources and partnerships to better coordinate public transit and human services transportation. Meetings will be held bimonthly beginning on February 13 and last for approximately 2 hours. They will include a combination of presentations and strategic planning activities. DTC staff, working with facilitators from the University of Delaware’s Institute for Public Administration (IPA), will lead the TAC meetings.
