Saint Francis Healthcare has announced the appointment of two senior leaders for the organization. On Monday, April 8, Brandon S. Harvath joined the organization as Chief Operations Officer. Harvath holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilmington University. Prior to joining Saint Francis, he was Vice President, Operations for Wilmington- and Pittsburgh-based Highmark. He has previously served in leadership roles for CIGNA, Independence Blue Cross, and MBNA/Bank of America. Harvath serves on the Board of Directors for Bethany Baptist Christian School in Wilmington. On Wednesday, May 1, Ralph Gonzalez Jr., MD, will transition from his role as Interim Chief Medical Officer to full-time Chief Medical Officer for Saint Francis Healthcare. Dr. Gonzalez earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Christiana Care Medical Center in Newark, Del., and completed a fellowship for Hospitalist Leaders in Healthcare Administration at the University of California-San Francisco. Dr. Gonzalez is board certified in Internal Medicine and holds current licensure in the states of Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
