TidalHealth is pleased to welcome Audrey Ormberg, MD, to TidalHealth Primary Care in Georgetown, Del. Dr. Ormberg graduated summa cum laude from Delaware State College in 1989 and then went on to obtain her medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School (now Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science). She completed a residency in family medicine from the University of Illinois at Ravenswood Hospital in 1998. Dr. Ormberg is board certified in family medicine and has a particular interest in women’s and children's medicine. After serving many years as a physician, she primarily enjoys the special bonds that are formed between doctors and patients in rural healthcare and feels strongly about patients having a medical home. She feels good communication is essential in the doctor-patient relationship to obtain more favorable outcomes. When Dr. Ormberg is not treating patients, she teaches medical students and residents, likes to learn about animals, and enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her cats and dogs. Dr. Ormberg also enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures. She would most like to visit the Galapagos Islands, the Egyptian pyramids, the Mayan and Aztec ruins, and Africa.
