YMCA of Delaware Set for Holiday Celebrations

The YMCA of Delaware is preparing for a busy December with events across the First State to celebrate the holiday season. We are the Y For All and will have items and messaging on display to highlight and inform about various holidays. There will also be a variety of initiatives and events at Y branches aimed at bringing the community together and helping those less fortunate. The Y wishes everyone a happy holiday season!

o Angel Tree: 12/1-12/16 | Select an angel and return the requested gift by 12/16.
o Cookies with Santa: 12/12 | 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. | Crafts, games, cookies with Santa. Free and open to the community.
 
• Brandywine YMCA – 3 Mount Lebanon Rd. Wilmington, DE 19803
o Cookies with Santa: 12/17 | 1 – 3 p.m. | Y of DE members only. Cookies, hot chocolate, crafts, music and visit with Santa.

• Walnut Street YMCA – 1000 North Walnut Street, Wilmington, DE 19801
o Holiday Concert: 12/13 | 5 p.m. | Come see the Walnut Street YMCA Neighborhood Choir perform some timeless holiday classics. Performers from our Pandas, Penguins, and Polar Bear classrooms have been working closely with the Wilmington Children’s Choir.
o Holiday Festival: 12/16 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Members only. Breakfast with Santa, cookie decorating, ornament making and games. We’ve also partnered with Toys for Tots to give toys to over 60 families.

o Giving Tree – Select a named ornament from the Giving Tree in our lobby to make the holiday season special for a resident of the Central YMCA. Return requested gifts by 12/20.

o Milk & Cookies with Santa: 12/14 | 6 – 8 p.m. | Y of DE members only. Photos, crafts and treats.

o Cookies with Santa: 12/15 | 6 – 8 p.m. | Free and open to community. Pictures with Santa, cookies and crafts for the whole family.

o Holiday Festival: 12/9 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Free and open to community. Selfies with Santa, holiday crafts and more.

o Reindeer Games: 12/16 | 8 – 10 a.m. | Members only. Healthy breakfast options, hot chocolate and juice, pictures with Santa, crafts and games.
o Giving Tree: Take a tag to purchase a gift for a child in need. Gifts must be returned by 12/18.
