Bayhealth Sponsors 2011 Southern Delaware Heart & Stroke Gala
Bayhealth Medical Center is once again a proud signature sponsor of this year’s Southern Delaware Heart & Stroke Gala, benefiting the American Heart Association.
The 2011 Southern Delaware Heart & Stroke Gala gets underway at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Sheraton Dover Hotel, 1570 North Dupont Highway , in Dover , Delaware . This year’s event promises to be an entertaining and memorable evening with some of Delaware ’s top community and corporate leaders joining Bayhealth in raising awareness and funding for the American Heart Association.
“Funds raised will go towards research that could potentially save the lives of stroke and heart disease patients. Heart disease is our nation’s number one killer, while stroke is the third leading cause of death, so everyone who joins in this year’s Gala will be helping to save lives,” said 2011 Southern Delaware Heart & Stroke Gala Chairs Tonda and Joseph Parks.
“We’re especially grateful that Bayhealth continues to take a lead role in helping to fight stroke and cardiovascular disease,” said Tonda Parks.
According to Parks, the theme for the 2011 Southern Delaware Heart & Stroke Gala will be “An Evening in Oz.” From the gourmet food, to the silent and live auctions, to the opportunity to get acquainted with new friends, it should be an exciting night of glitz and glamour.
For years, the Heart and Stroke Gala has helped to advance the lifesaving mission of the American Heart Association, a mission that has impacted the lives of thousands of men, women and children in the southern Delaware area. Contributions received go far in supporting cardiovascular research, professional and community education, and advocacy efforts.
