Event Description: Join us for the Inaugural Women’s Race for the Pink Ribbon 5K on Thursday, September 22, 2011. This is a women’s only race that will begin at 6:30 pm at Dravo Plaza on the Wilmington Riverfront. Registration will begin at 5 pm. The event will include a huge pink post-race party. Awards courtesy of Women’s Sports Specialties. Awards presented to Overall Female winner plus top 3 in five age groups. Teams are welcome to join us. Top fundraising team will win the Pink Cup. The team with the most members will win the DBCC Cup! The 5K course is USATF certified (fast flap on the river walk). NOVA Timing Systems will chip time using MyLaps bib tags. Registration is $20 per person and $25 after September 19 and at the event. Participants will receive women’s fit performance tech tees, a goodie bag, post race refreshments, music, a wine & beer garden, and more.
