Event Description: The 15th Annual Breast Cancer Update will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Sheraton Hotel Conference Center in Dover. DBCC is excited to present a excellent roster of speakers to address breast cancer treatment and survivorship. This year’s program will focus on the evolution and future of targeted therapies; advances in brachytherapy; and, tying in with our theme, helping survivors make the transition from patient to survivor and beyond. Specifically, we will have presentations on Psychosocial Peer Support and Survivorship Care. The Breast Cancer Update is one of many ways that DBCC uses its funds locally to benefit and serve the people of Delaware and its surrounding communities. This annual one-day educational forum is free and open to the public and has become one of Delaware’s most trusted sources of up-to-date breast cancer information. The event features discussions by panels of breast cancer experts and attracts crowds of physicians, nurses, breast cancer survivors and advocates each year.
