Event Description: Join DBCC for the 4th Annual DE-feet Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Walk on Sunday, May 19 at the Tanger Outlets. The event will kick-off with a pre-party with a survivor celebration and music. Then those participating in the 5K Run/Walk will be chip timed on the new 5K course starting at 8:30 am. There will be great prizes for teams and individuals. All participants will receive an event tech t-shirt and admittance to the huge post race party under the tent with music, a beer and wine garden, coffee bar, refreshments and food court. There will also be a Kid’s Corner with face painting and fun! Registration is $20 per person before May 13. Day-of-event registration is $25. Register online at www.defeetbreastcancerwalk.org. All proceeds from the 2013 DE-feet Breast Cancer 5K Run/Walk benefit DBCC’s programs that increase breast cancer awareness, promote the importance of early detection, provide access to mammograms, and provide support and resources to men and women in our local community who are newly diagnosed or facing recurrence of breast cancer.
