Event Description: The National Kidney Foundation will hold its fourth annual NKF Golf Classic at Huntingdon Valley Country Club on September 15, 2014 at 10am. The tournament is one link in the nationwide series of over 30 amateur golf tournaments across the country. The NKF Golf Classic is the only charity golf tournament that invites the top five local finishers to compete at Pebble Beach Resorts. “This event serves as one our most important fundraisers and we are hopeful to grow event participation & support to exceed our goal for 2014,” said NKF Classic Chairman, Anthony F. Naccarato, PE. Amateur golfers, male and female, can participate as part of a four-person team. New to the NKF Golf Classic this year, teams now have opportunities to compete in the Handicap Index Division (combined USGA Handicap Index of 42.0 or more, with only one golfer on each team having a USGA Handicap Index of 8.0 or less) or the Gross Division (no handicap indexes required). The top five teams from each division will qualify to tee off in the National Finals held over three days on the famed greens of the Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and The Links at Spanish Bay. The entry fee for a foursome is $3,000. Golfers will also vie for prizes donated by national sponsors including One Car One Difference, Birdie Box, PING, Golf Digest, the Greg Norman Collection and Tiffany & Co. The NKF Golf Classic is the nation’s Premier Amateur Golf Event for Charity. It has raised more than $90 million for the National Kidney Foundation's awareness, prevention and treatment programs.
