Event Description:
On October 31st Siemens Industry Inc. will give a presentation entitled “Leveraging Energy to Modernize Infrastructure and Create Economic Development.” Attendees will learn how the energy conservation and renewable energy industries are becoming catalysts for economic development. The implementation of large scale energy conservation projects in the private sector offers commercial and industrial building owners the ability to significantly reduce costs and mitigate the impact of future business risks, such as rising energy rates, unstable power supply and changing environmental mandates from the federal government. For the public sector, large scale energy conservation projects offer the ability to modernize outdated infrastructure without fiscal impact to the tax payer. Regardless of private or public sector, the implementation of these projects requires sourcing of materials, labor and professional services from Delaware businesses and building trades. This presentation will also focus on legislation allowing public entities to engage in these projects, as well as sources of funding (low interest loans, grants, utility incentives) available to both public and private entities. Case study information related to projects currently being implemented within the commercial building space and state agencies will be provided.
This presentation may be of interest to:
• Commercial Building Owners
• Industrial Manufacturers
• Healthcare Institutions
• Colleges and Universities
• Government Agencies
• School Districts
• Representatives of trade and labor associations
