Event Description: A TASTE FOR ART | Together We Flourish A Taste For Art, Children & Families First’s signature fundraising event, has proudly empowered flourishing individuals and communities for over ten years by supporting the programs and services to nourish children and families today. A Taste for Art features local artists showcasing original pieces in a range of medias; tantalizing culinary stations hosted by aspiring hospitality students; wines and custom cocktails; passed hors d'oeurves; beer donated by Big Oyster Brewery; and respected corporate, civic and community leaders as it’s honored guests. Held at the renowned Greenville County Club, the evening’s spectacular backdrop includes the garden terrace views and sunsets recognized as the best of Northern Delaware! We welcome you to make a difference in the lives of children and families on the path to self-sufficient, flourishing futures by joining us for this unique creative arts and culinary experience. The VIP Champagne Reception, limited to only 100 guests, features complimentary champagne, a selectively chosen of butler passed hors d'oeuvre, and early access to the artwork with exclusive opportunities to speak one on one with our featured artists. This year’s Main Event will begin promptly at 7:00pm. THE FOOD One of the most memorable aspects of the evening are the entrée and dessert stations hosted by Delaware’s up and coming culinary minds. Striving to be tomorrow’s top chefs, students from ten local high school hospitality programs were given budgets and creative freedom to bring our guests a tantalizing variety of gastronomic delights. This year's schools include: Delcastle Technical High School Hodgson Vo-Tech High School Howard High School of Technology St. Georges Technical High School THE ART Local artists will have their beautiful work on display throughout the evening. The works range from paintings to photography to mixed media and are all unique and original pieces. All displayed pieces are available for sale with each artist generously donating 20% of their sales during the event directly to Children & Families First.
