The Delaware Art Museum is pleased to host Festival of Goblins, the Museum’s inaugural kid- and adult-friendly Halloween celebration, on October 30, 2010, from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The event will feature festive arts and crafts; trick-or-treating; storytelling; a costume parade; a Luminary Labyrinth walk; food for all ages; and beer tasting, courtesy of Dogfish Head Brewery, for adults. Although the Festival of Goblins is open to all ages, the suggested age range for children is 3 – 10 years old.
Festival of Goblins was created by a group of active Museum volunteers to engage individuals with young children in the Museum’s family-focused programming, including art classes, educational events, and kid-friendly activities. Mati Buccini, Museum Trustee and Festival of Goblins committee member, said the festival is a great opportunity to attract families that are looking for a fun, safe Halloween activity. “
We wanted the event to attract both parents and children,” Buccini said. “The Festival of Goblins is unique because it incorporates everything from arts and crafts for the kids and seasonal beer tasting for the parents to activities both parent and child will enjoy – like the costume parade and Labyrinth walk.”
The Museum’s galleries will be open to festival attendees throughout the evening. Admission prices are $15 for a Non-Member’s child, $40 for a Non-Member adult, $10 for a Member’s child, and $30 for adult Members. Visit www.delart.org for additional pricing details.
