Rosen, CPA, AEP, Director – Estates and Trusts, is the Delaware Ambassador of the Financial Literacy Foundation and spearheaded this important effort in Delaware. The Financial Awareness Foundation’s objective is to encourage financial, nonprofit, and education professionals and their organizations, employers, municipalities, and the news media to actively participate in this movement to alert, educate, motivate, and assist everyone to get and keep their financial house in order with a current financial, estate, and gift plan. To help address and solve the major social challenge of financial health in Delaware and throughout the country, this proclamation urges all Delawareans to engage in activities that promote financial education and literacy. “The importance of being able to make well informed financial decisions on a daily basis and having a written plan cannot be overstated. Most people don’t plan and just focus on the near term rather than focusing on the long term. Being informed and having a written financial and estate plan allows each person to make better everyday money decisions which can improve their quality of life both now and during retirement, and also determine for themselves the legacy they wish to pass on to future generations” states Jordon N. Rosen, CPA, AEP. “We are grateful to Governor Carney and Lieutenant Governor Hall-Long’s office for recognizing the importance of financial literacy by issuing this proclamation.” See Financial Literacy Month Proclamation.
