At McKean High School, students were not the only high school attendees in need of some in-person time, their barn animals needed some love as well. One of the nice things to see this spring is in-person students from the Agricultural Sciences (Ag Science) career pathway at McKean head outside to care of their program’s animals. The roosters, goats, and sheep have provided the Ag Science students with hands-on activities they need and should expect. The barn animals are not the only living things that needed hands-on care at McKean, the greenhouse is full of live plants as McKean’s FFA program prepares to kick off this year’s plant sale. The greenhouse is stocked with vegetables, flowers, and other plants that will go on sale starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 24th at the high school. The sale will run through May 1st, though do not wait as plants will sell quickly. If you are stopping by, bring a mask and make sure to follow McKean’s COVID guidelines.
