On December 8, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., in the Event Center on the Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) campus, employees stuffed over 600 goodie bags to send every student at La Academia Antonia Alonso Charter School (La Academia) home with some holiday cheer. The event began at 2:00 p.m. in the College’s newly opened Event Center on the Goldey-Beacom College campus. La Academia is a K-5, dual language Title One school in Wilmington, Delaware with a 91 percent global population. Employees gathered in the Event Center to enjoy a holiday dessert party while they stuffed goodie bags with drinks, snacks, toys and more. Additional items have been collected such as food, winter gloves and necessities to provide assistance during these challenging times. Academia Antonia Alonso is a public dual language charter school that nurtures bilingual, biliterate and multicultural children in Wilmington, Delaware.
