FSC is Giving Us Something to Chew On

First State Compassion (“FSC”), a Delaware medical cannabis industry pioneer, announced today that it is now offering an array of high-quality edible cannabis products to the state’s medical cannabis patients. One of the most popular forms of cannabis available in legal markets across the country, food or drink-infused edibles offer patients a discreet and tasty cannabis ingestion alternative.

FSC is producing a wide variety of nationally recognized brands at its state-of-the-art kitchen located in Wilmington, and distributing them at the company’s Wilmington and Lewes medical cannabis distribution centers. The brands include:

• Betty’s Eddies® infused fruit chews – this award-winning, all-natural fruit chew is available in a variety of flavors, including grape, elderberry, orange, peachy mango, passionfruit, lime, lemon, and berry. Betty’s Eddies fruit chews are a recognized leader in the industry, winning such honors as Favorite Edible Brand in the 2022 Maryland Cannabis Awards from MJ Connect; 2021-2019 Best Selling Medical Product and 2020 #1 Industry Innovator Awards from Leaflink List Awards; 2021 Edible of the Year from Reddit Sparkie Awards, and the 2020 Edible of the Year from Explore Maryland Cannabis Awards.
• Bubby’s Baked™ - these soft and chewy baked bites are made from scratch with simple ingredients and full-spectrum cannabis for a scrumptious edible. The classic selection includes Brownie, Choco Chip Cookie and Snickerdoodle. The brand became a media star just last month, when an 850-pound version of a Bubby’s Baked infused brownie received national media attention, with appearances on Saturday Night Live and the Jimmy Kimmel Show, to name a few.
• Tropizen Pique Infused Caribbean Hot Sauce
• And more, including an energy powder drink mix to debut soon.

“The medical cannabis industry is seeing a significant movement toward non-inhalable forms of consumption, and edibles are leading this trend,” said Mark Lally, CEO of First State Compassion.

He continued, “The edibles we have introduced are popular, tried-and-tested nationally recognized brands that give patients a variety of options to choose from. They appeal to the taste buds and meet the needs of patients who require alternative options to maintain overall health and wellness. Some of the edible products that FSC proudly bakes are all-natural, made with real fruits and vegetables, and are lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan.”

“We know that every patient is on a personal passage to relief. So, by providing edible options, we hope we are opening the door for patients to feel comfortable in their journey to finding the relief that works best for them.”

“Our patients have been looking forward to adding the option of edibles to their treatment program,” said Haley Schell, FSC’s regional director of retail operations. “I am so excited that we are able to offer them the best of the best.”

The Betty’s Eddies and Bubby’s Baked brands are available to FSC through a license with leading multi-state cannabis operator MariMed, Inc.
