What is Do More 24 Delaware: Delaware's premier 24-hour charitable giving event, Do More 24 Delaware, returns on March 3-4, 2022. Starting at 6pm on Thursday, March 3 and concluding at 6pm on Friday, March 4, individuals will be able to donate to more than 430 nonprofits serving Delaware on the www.DoMore24Delaware.org website. Last year’s giving day event raised nearly $2 million in 24 hours for 412 nonprofits. More than 10,000 unique donations came in from around the world, including from every city in Delaware and all 50 states. This year, event organizers encourage donors to share their generosity again and donate to their favorite causes that are doing critical work to benefit communities throughout Delaware. Our Supporters: Thanks to Longwood Foundation, Welfare Foundation, Laffey-McHugh Foundation, Delaware Community Foundation, Carl M. Freeman Foundation, and the Delaware Division of the Arts, all donations made to the participating nonprofits that day will be stretched a little further through the event's many stretch pool incentives. Barclays US Consumer Bank, Chemours, Discover Bank, and many other corporate partners and nonprofits also are sponsoring and supporting the event in many ways. Organized By: Spur Impact and United Way of Delaware jointly host the event with support from several other organizations and corporations on the planning committee. How the Event Works: Every hour of the giving day features at least $200 in bonus golden ticket prizes and other cash incentives to help the nonprofits raise more. In total, there are over $100,000 in cash prizes that will be awarded throughout the day thanks to our generous sponsors, including a $10,000 "Greater Giving" opening hour prize thanks to Barclays. Thanks to Chemours and Discover Bank, there are also sizable category prizes for eligible nonprofits fighting hunger and homelessness or protecting the environment. United Way of Delaware is also providing Pursuit of Equity prize incentives for nonprofits led by Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) executives or with majority BIPOC senior management or boards. A complete list of prizes and the event sponsors can be found on the Do More 24 Delaware website. To donate, individuals can visit www.DoMore24Delaware.org and use the site's search engine to find causes that align with their values. Donors can search by organization name, keyword, city, and other search filters. Prior to the event starting on March 3rd, donors can click on any fundraising pages to be sent a “remind me to donate” email once the event goes live. This year's event will again feature a 24 hour livestream hosted by Chris Bruce of King Creative, and will be available to watch from the event's website. In addition, all donors that make a $50 or higher donation to one or more of the participating nonprofits during the 24 hours will be invited to watch a post-event virtual benefit concert featuring Backtrack Vocals, an award-winning 5-person a cappella group based in New York City. Two of Backtrack Vocals members went to schools in Delaware.
